This tablet is erected by the officers
of the Regiment to mark their esteem
and regard for their late youthful
and gallant brother officers and to
record the sincere sorrow expressed
by all ranks at thier early deaths
As a tribute of respect and admiratin
to the bravery and devotion of their
late Comrades, the Non Commissioned
Officers Drummers and Private soldiers
who fell upon the same occasion
